Le Discret — the discreet one — is the capsule bifold the atelier built for the inside breast pocket. Six card slots arrayed across two interior facings, a full billfold pocket sized for any global currency, and two tonal slip pockets behind the card field for receipts, business cards, or a folded note.
Cut from saffiano-textured Chèvre Sully goatskin — the cross-hatched embossing that the major Italian houses use for their dress wallets, applied here to the supple French goatskin worked elsewhere across the capsule. The saffiano texture both hides minor surface marks and allows the wallet to slide easily into and out of an inside pocket. The solid 18k gold maison mark is recessed into the inside of the spine, visible only when the wallet is open.

Chèvre Sully — Tannerie Alran's chrome-vegetable combination goatskin — is the leather the major Parisian maisons use for their flagship small leather goods. It is finer-grained than calfskin, more supple than buffalo, and improves dramatically with use. The saffiano texture is added in a separate finishing pass: the leather is pressed against a heated cross-hatched plate, which leaves a subtle relief that catches light, hides scratches, and gives the surface its characteristic dress-wallet finish. The Discret reads as a darker, denser cousin of the Esquisse cardholder — same material family, more architecture. Where the Esquisse is built to be touched, the Discret is built to disappear: into the inside breast, into the back of a slim brief, into the rotation of a working wardrobe.
Saffiano-textured Chèvre is the easiest of the wallet leathers to maintain. Wipe with a soft dry cloth weekly. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and water. The texture itself disguises minor scratches; do not attempt to sand or buff out marks. Condition lightly once a year with a neutral leather balm.

Le Discret is hand-built by a single artisan from cut to final burnish. The interior architecture — six slots, billfold, two slips — is set on a single cut of leather and skived (thinned) by hand at every fold to keep the closed wallet thin enough for a suit pocket.
